Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
- Seller application form: your name, business name, country and city, phone number (WhatsApp), email, and the business details you fill in (capacity, products, pricing, and similar).
- Contact form: your name, email, optional phone number, and your message.
- Language preference: stored only on your own device (browser storage). It is not sent to us.
- Visit analytics: when you open a page, our server records your IP address; the approximate location estimated from it (country, region, city, postal code, and an approximate latitude and longitude); your time zone; the name of the internet provider or organisation that owns your connection; your device type, operating system, browser, screen size and language; which page you viewed; how you arrived at the site; and how long you stayed. We also store a random identifier in your browser so that we can tell a repeat visit from a first visit.
About location: a location estimated from an IP address points to a city or general area. It is never a street address, and it is often inaccurate — sometimes by many miles — especially on mobile networks and VPNs.
We use this information to understand how the site is used and which kinds of businesses are interested in afrolibsi. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers, and we do not sell or share this data. To find out which provider and location an IP address belongs to, we send that IP address to ipwho.is, which performs the lookup and returns the result to us.
2. How we use your information
- To review seller applications and decide who we onboard.
- To reply to your inquiries and contact you about your application via the email or WhatsApp number you provided.
- To operate and improve afrolibsi.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Where your information is stored
Form submissions are stored in a secure cloud database (Supabase). The website is hosted on Vercel. Access to submissions is limited to the afrolibsi team.
4. Sharing
We share information only with the service providers that run our infrastructure — Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database), and ipwho.is (internet provider and location lookups for IP addresses) — and if the law requires it. Nothing else.
5. How long we keep it
We keep applications and inquiries for as long as needed to review them and operate afrolibsi. We keep visit analytics records, including IP addresses, for as long as they remain useful for understanding how the site is used. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
6. Your rights
You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Reach us through our contact page and we will respond.
7. Children
This site is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 16.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version.
